Ezgi Saribay
The Rev. Canon Ezgi Saribay Perkins was born in Izmir, Türkiye, and grew up in a Muslim family. She attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Accounting and Finance. She became a Christian while at Drury. Upon graduation, she experienced a calling to the priesthood and went on to attend seminary.
She was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church in 2015 and served congregations in St. Louis and Kansas City before moving to Wisconsin in 2018. She also served on the Commission of Ministry in West Missouri. In 2018, she became the Canon Precentor of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Fond du Lac, and in 2020 began serving as rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Ripon. She also served on the Evangelism and Finance Committees in the historic Diocese of Fond du Lac, and is a Rotarian and a board member of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce.
Roger Mukasa
Roger Mukasa was born in Kampala, Uganda, and was baptized by his grandfather, a priest of the Anglican Church of Uganda. Roger met Kabura, his wife, in high school in Nairobi, Kenya, when Roger was a refugee from Uganda. Roger was confirmed in the Anglican Church of England in London, UK. He attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Finance, Investments, and Banking. He has worked in both the public and private sector, and is currently Dane County’s Renewables Finance Officer in Madison, Wisconsin. Roger is enrolled in the Nashotah Theological Seminary, Master of Pastoral Ministry, Hybrid-Distance program.
Roger is an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Madison. There, he has served as Altar Guild member, lay Eucharistic Minister, lector, Grace Foundation Board Trustee, and Grace Columbarium Board Trustee. He was elected to the historic Diocese of Milwaukee’s Executive Council and currently serves on the Diocese of Wisconsin’s Mission Council.
Julie Spanbauer
Julie Spanbauer is a lifelong Episcopalian and has deep roots in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and went on to a career of over 30 years in finance, as a home mortgage lender and consultant in the area. She is currently an Assistant Vice President at the Oshkosh branch of FVSBank.
Julie prioritizes community involvement, serving as a board member and secretary for the Bella Medical Clinic, as a volunteer for the PALS literacy program in conjunction with Oshkosh Area Public Schools, and as vice president of the Winnebago Saddle Horse Association. She has also served in various roles in the church on both the parish and diocesan level. She has been a vestry member at St. Thomas Episcopal Church and served two terms on the Diocese of Fond du Lac Board of Trustees.
